Office Policies

Appointment Policy

The scheduled appointment is reserved specifically for your child. Any change in this appointment affects many patients. If a cancellation is unavoidable, please call our office at least 24 hours in advance so that we may give that appointment to another child. We try to schedule younger children early in the day because they are at their best at this time. Whenever possible, older children can be scheduled outside regular school hours.

Financial Policy

For our patients with dental insurance, we will be happy to help you receive the maximum benefits available under your policy. We will file your insurance for you as a courtesy of our office. Once the treatment plan and the estimated insurance benefits are reviewed with you, we require that you pay your portion in full at the time of service. Please note that the legal parent or guardian bringing the child into the office on the day of service will be expected to pay for services rendered. For your convenience, we accept cash, check, MasterCard or Visa. However, please realize that the relationship is between you, the insured and your insurance company. If we do not receive full payment from your insurance company, you are responsible for the remaining balance. A statement will be sent to you and the balance should be paid to iKids Pediatric Dentistry within 30 days of receiving the statement.

Do you allow parents to come back with their children?

We have carefully designed our office to be a child-friendly, comfortable and fun environment. We complete our dental examination in an age-appropriate manner and work closely with children to gain their trust. We welcome your input on how you think your child will do best.

As the parent you are welcome to accompany your child into the treatment area during the initial exam. However, to better establish a relationship of trust with your child, we like to bring the children back by themselves during future appointments. Remember, we are specialists in overcoming apprehension and gaining your child’s confidence. However, if you so choose, you may accompany your child to the treatment room. We only ask that your children not being treated remain in the waiting area with a supervising adult. Expect your child to do well and enjoy their visit to our office and chances are they will do just that!
